Wayne Tj
The best US made car of the 80’s would be the Buick Grand National. America, the country so great that even its haters refuse to leave.

No idea strip numbers but it was a good looking piece of metal. My brother had an '86. It was a nice car but very tame. I liked it but I never would describe it as fast. A buddy had that silly 4 banger turbo SVO mustang of the same year and that would run circles around the monte. I had a z28 Camaro of the same vintage and it was a dog but it was cool enough and I am not Italian. I always had bikes that would make fun of anything produced in the 80's. If I wanted to go fast it was easier on two wheels.

Wayne Tj
I picked up a 2019 Mustang with a 4 cylinder engine for my 15 year old son. That thing is sick fun and fast. It has a 10 speed auto transmission with a track racing mode and paddle shifters on the wheel. I would never have thought you could tweet that much power out of a four banger. I would never have believed it, had I not driven it myself. It is more fun that many cars twice it’s price, which was $39K before tax. chris koltz and fjr419 2 America, the country so great that even its haters refuse to leave. I bought a new Toyota Supra in ‘82 and paid $5K over sticker because US cars were so lousy. Edited July 12, 2019 by Wayne Tj America, the country so great that even its haters refuse to leave. bospa357
I bought my daughter a 1980 Trans Am for her first car. Nice looking car and had low mileage and the price was right. It had the 301 V8. What a ****ing dog that thing was. I think it made all of 155hp. The build quality sucked really bad too. Looked just like this. Same color and all. Some even said Hurst. Can’t beat vynil or velour bench seats for a super car.
