It appears that my go to app for surf forecasts is no longer working?

Anybody use swellinfo app or web site ?

Any suggestions on a new site for wave and tide forecasts.

Thanks

Hey db,

swellinfo was awesome and I miss it. Check out magicseaweed

The app is free and they forecast a week out.

Really interested in other replies because swellinfo was my go to.

Check out the wind alert app.

The free version has a ton of info.

Yeah, swellinfo departure blows.

As an alternative, I use Windy both as an app on mobile and on desktop. I would provide link but you know the drill

wow, i just dowloaded the windy app. pretty darn cool. how acurate are the tides?

Oh, good reminder. For tides, I use "Tides Near Me".  Works really well for me, locally and when travel. Has today and week view so you can plan ahead, sun/moon times included too.

Tides are usually accurate on most sites. The wind is often off, and in excess of the forecast. The site I use for everything, including tidal coefficient (the progression of the tide during the month) is not mentionable on SOL. Searching ‘tidal coefficient’ for your fishery will lead to it.

What I like about windalert is being able to choose from and compare among a number of forecast models. WF-WRF 2km is free on the app, but not on the desktop. Tides, sun and moon info is gravy.
