Have you seen the new Hobie 360 drive?

I suppose when the first mirage drives came out it was for a very small market with extra disposable income. 

 

Now that pedal drives are becoming more mainstream, Hobie developed another product to push the envelop once again for those looking for more.

 

Im sure they will sell, but from my pov as a 3 season hobie vet and 30 y/o male.  Its just not needed.

Need is a strong word...but man do I want it, esp for freshwater. Never happen if it stays exclusively in the PA line though...

It for sure is nice but it is expensive for the average guy.

It is a must have for tournament bass fishermen.  The ability to slide down a bank and fish everything will make a big difference in results.

 

I can see that it would be great for vertical jigging or working bridges in the salt too.
