I am on the way from Alaska to NJ.

I am informed that long waited Black Hole Striped Bass Special surf rods arrived.

Everyone who uses the Striped Bass Special rods loves them.

I think the Striped Bass Special rods will give impact as much as the Black Hole Suzuki rods have been doing.

I landed 80 - 100 halibut upto 80 lb and big 40 - 50 ling cod upto 50 lb using ultra light 3.8 oz Black Hole Tai Special rod on the recent Icy Bay Lodge trip. The blank of the Tai Special rod is mere 1.4 oz.  It tells how much NS Black Hole' technology is advanced.

The Striped Bass Special rods are light and have very thin diameter, but are strong.

Here is a video of testing the Black Hole Striped Bass Special for tuna in Panama.

The best way to test the strength of any rod is to fight tuna. :)

I can say safely the rod is good for any size of striped bass.

Kil, would I be able to have any of these rods shipped to me in less than 2 weeks to San Diego? One of these rods may be what I am looking for in a Baja rooster rod.

If you order it, you will get within 5 days by Fedex Ground.

what is the weight of the 11ft 2-8, is 50/50 split?

40/60 split.

When I tested prototype Black Hole Striped Bass Special rods, the weight of 10' 3/4 oz - 4 oz is 9.6 oz and 11' 2 oz - 8 oz is 12.4 oz.

But I asked stronger rods and they added more material.  Now the weight of 10' 3/4 oz - 4 oz becomes 10.4 oz and 11' 2 oz - 8 oz becomes 13.2 oz.

In retrospect, I shouldn't ask stronger rods as the original rods are strong enough for any size of striper.
