blackdogfish
Broke my old Lew's Carbon Fire rod. Use it with spinner... primarily Senkos...open water but also in weeds and cover. Needs to be under $100. Prefer durability over high sensitivity. Thanks The Great Big Jig in the Sky...Shine on you crazy diamond jig.

Stick with a 6'6 medium action rod, fast action. Personally I'd buy the Clarus; I've fished one for years and have been quite happy with it. Personally I don't fish Ugly Stiks anymore, and don't like fiberglass in a rod unless I'm tuna or shark fishing. The Elite Uglys are a heck lot better, lighter, and feel more like a graphite rod than a super heavy poorly balanced wet noodle, like the GX2 Uglys. Better Quality/Most Sensitive: Shimano Clarus $80 Most Durable/Least Sensitive: Ugly Stik Elite $50 Sensitive/Strong: Fenwick HMX rods: $

Should be arriving next week. The Great Big Jig in the Sky...Shine on you crazy diamond jig.

animalbarrie
Bass Pro Shop Carbonlite - 6'6" to 7" medium heavy. I use the 6'6" MH for senko fishing and it has a lot of backbone to rip large fish out of weeds.
