Let’s see the aluminum’s getting used in the salt.

I will start with a 2017 16 ft. Duranautic Side Console and 30hp Evinrude.

Not much power but enough to be fishable. 20 inch transom so nothing coming over tha back so far.

I mostly fish Raritan Bay and the connecting rivers.

It’s under 1200 lbs total weight on the trailer. Tows easy behind a mini SUV

I see tons of aluminum boats in the bay when I’m there. Lund’s Alumacrafts Trackers Old Grumman’s....

Let’s load this thing up with pics

Going to follow this thread closely. Aluminum boats seem like the perfect solution to my situation (a mile from a boat ramp but only have a 4cyl awd hatchback to tow it) but I haven't pulled the trigger yet.

FWIW, there are a ton of listings in local CL when I searched boats and entered aluminum......

If it is a well made aluminum boat like a Duranautic it will last a long time if taken care of, I had a '76 up until a few years ago, was a great boat, guy who bought will probably get another 40 years out of it.

Oh I know, I spend probably more time at work than I should searching on the craigslist boat section lol. I'm still researching exactly what I want but I think this thread might push me over the edge into tin boat ownership!

Picture of my Workskiff from a coupe years ago in Salem harbor, and my Pacific at Pope's landing in Danvers.

That Pacific looks like it is built like a tank.
