I remember when the GOP used the pretense of Family Farms to push their removal of the caps on inheritance tax......

allegedly this had an impact on the family farm.

reality was it was yet another bone thrown to the Uber wealthy........

the reality of GOP policy is also that Farm foreclosures were up 20% last year.

So, reducing the inheritance tax caused an increase in foreclosures. Got it.

nope

but the increase in foreclosure sure made the inheritance tax issue moot.

The farm industry has been so fragile for so long that the storm of low prices, trade war, and the wettest year on record have hammered them.

You know Democrats say never let a crisis go to waste.

Especially when they can blame Republicans for it.

Well, the fact is the trade war hasn’t helped them.

Farm policy covers profits for major corporations at expense of small farms.  Trump rolling back regulations intended to help smaller hog, chicken and cattle producers has made it better for the handful of meat packers at the expense of small farmers.  Grain subsidies go largely to the biggest corporate farms.  Policies encourage over production that depress prices. 5 bad years in a row make it difficult or impossible for small farmers to get credit to finance equipment and inputs.

You might think there were a few bugs in farm policy but it really seems to be a feature imbedded since it’s earliest implementation.

When you put all your land in one crop........

Crops are an 'investment'. Investment diversification is your friend.

Up 20%?

Source?

There is none, I googled "farm foreclosures" and "farm repossessions" over CY2019 and there isn’t a single story that fits says foreclosures are up 20%.

Fake news

Is there a question in the OP I missed?

:rules:

You are a broken little man.

Maybe you should follow these rules yourself instead of crying like a bitch when others don’t.

But overt hypocrisy is your thing.
