Does anyone one here have a rough guess of how many 10" sluggos can be poured per gallon of plastic from the Lurecraft 5x381 mold?  I'm just trying to get a ballpark.

Also, should I use the 500 or the 548 plastisol?

I prefer the harder 500 for larger molds. Not sure how many pours you get in a mold. Have yet to wear one out.

My fault, I meant to ask how many pours per gallon in that mold.  I’ve edited my post to reflect that.  Sorry for the confusion.

A 10" weighs about an 1 1/8-1 1/4OZ. 500 has better tear strength but if 500 sits around too long the hardener turns to crap on the bottom. Personally I am not fan of lurecrafts products because of that. May not be as bad in one gallon containers. The 5 gallon bulk pail is a pain in the ass to deal with and not have stuff settle on the bottom.

I would just pour 1 take note of the volume used and do the math. I use lure works medium and make  a 10 inch hogy copy I made I think I get at least 100 baits. just save your left over scrap pieces and flashing, bad pours and you can remelt
