Why are there so many parts from other reels? If I arrange mine randomly like that when I break it down, I'll never be able to put it back together again.

I'm a big fan at how they went about certain things on this reel.

I'm curious if the main gear is a step up compared to the Exsence....which if memory serves correctly was an uncoated forged alu.

I like that o ring supported bushing at the main shaft under the seal.

(on a design I've been sketching up it's nearly identical the o ring helps it float but instead of brass mine was delrin)

Great Pics!

Look at the break down of the 2019 Vanquish and the 2018 Stella done by profisher.com.ua . The Stradic FL shares so many parts and the xprotect mechanism is the same on all three reels.

bulletproof IAR

feel free to ( thin ) grease it.

What grease did you use and did you check its reliability when cold...

OK so you admit to having zero first hand experience.  (gee....shocking.)

((((polly want a cracker)))

I remember a long time ago I posted a test....and in that post...singled you out as to not repeat it as a successful test.......and guess what....you ignored that...and continually parroted it.   You even admitted to not having owned or tested it then.....

SHimano clutches are far and away the most sensitive designs due to their goal of being as friction-less as possible.   Very little inward pressure is applied by the springs.....any grease on the top or bottom will prevent the cylinders from moving inward and binding properly.  Causing failure.....a complete disassebly and thorough cleaning is the only fix.....(about a 30 minute job if you know what you are doing..and if you speed drying with a solvent such as alcohol)

Every single thing you post is parroting what you read and most of it is taken out of context and what you post is often flat out wrong.

Even after I do test this in the next few days......even if it functions as designed...when lubed out of spec....it'll still be far from a definitive test and you're mileage may vary will still apply.

yea, I noticed springs. Mine doesnt have any, and works fine.

They should make it without those.

Otherwise it looks the same.

..but I said regardless, what I did, expecting to be corrected, if wrong, for the sake of conversation, and readers to learn.
