Not sure how good you are at navigating a kayak but theres a good amount of boat traffic and tides move pretty good in that area. That being said blish point in barnstable is a safe launch area from the beach they will charge you a 15 dollar fee unless it went up.There is endless opportunity from this area heading towards the flats to the right or father in the harbor to the west or across to the many islands. But again it depends on your level of expertise. If your a novice stay close to beach and look for your opportunity play it safe. Grey's beach in yarmouth is another spot sometimes they charge other times they don't not sure on this year. Grey's your coming out of the river which will dump you into deeper water on a falling tide closer to mouth of barnstable harbor, with a rising tide you can head back into the creeks. This area can be more challenging but you can also go straight across and drag your kayak from other side onto beach and fish the drop off at the end of flats. There are also lots of deep holes heading out from river but it can get narrow especially with the boat traffic. Again just be careful tides are moving fast and boats think nothing of you out there.

Bone hill road is a free launch spot and centrally located in the harbor

I thought they changed that years ago and you need a sticker now. But if not thats a good spot.

If you use Bone Hill road, pay very close attention to the no parking signs and areas they call out.  The residents there will not hesitate for a moment to have your vehicle towed if a violation.  The BPD is also very/extremely accommodating for at least one of said residents  ;)

If I remember correctly, it's an Audobon protected area and they strategically place the signs so that 1-3 cars park in a sneaky way, but if you are in the no parking area, then yes you will get towed.
