I have a Blackhole 7'3 charter special plus cash your way if you'd be interested? I'm in Nassau and could meet up this weekend possibly.

How used is the charter special?

Purchased it this winter, used once in montauk this season. I'm unable to take pictures now but will send you some later once I'm home.

Good enough for me. PM contact details so we can arrange a meet.

Trade fell through.

This rod is still available. Price drop to $250, something fell into my lap and this has to go.

Open to different trade offers.

Please note, the rod is not spiral wrapped. It's wrapped as a normal conventional.

Can I ask why 3” was trimmed off the bottom?  Does it handle more weight than the factory rod?

The blank was 7'6, I didn't want it that long when built so I had 3 inches cut off the bottom. I fish party boats and I know some like 7'6 but with limit space and nets and other stuff in the way, I opted to go slightly shorter.
It handles the same weight as the factory 7'6 heavy which is up to 12oz.

What would you consider its max drop down weight?  Can it handle dragging 16 +-?

I would not do 16 with this rod. You might be able to drag 14. But it will be a bit stressed.
