Jack Ramsey, who was with the Trail Blazers at the time, picked Sam Bowie ahead of Michael Jordan in the 1983 NBA Draft. That was bad enough, but what was worse was that Ramsey defended the pick for years afterward. Why do I need Michael Jordan? Ramsey would say. I don't need Jordan -- I got Jimmy Paxson!

The producers of MASH running off Wayne Rogers and McLean Stevenson to make Alan Alda the focus of the show was the dumbest thing since Ramsey picked Sam Bowie ahead of Michael Jordan.

MASH was for commies, and dimwits.

It did have sort of that “why are we even here” feel to it. Still watched it growing up, didn’t see that till I was older.

Not even commies and dimwits would have watched if not for Alan Alda...

It was a joy to watch him at his craft

That might be the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

You are now officially the Babe Ruth of stupidity. :dismay:

Alda was a bad impersonation of Groucho Marx on that show. Sutherland owned that role
