Southcoastphil
There are many sites that provide forecasts. What do you use when you want to see what the winds have been for the last few days? Halieus
Willyweather for me. Seems to be accurate enough for me as well and it's got pretty much everything you'd need. (*member formerly known as 'Always_NoFo')

TimS
Use NOAA - find a weather bouy near where you fish, bookmark it. Shows you every aspect of weather, wind, wave height, swell height, gusts, water temp with charts for current readings and a complete history of prior readings going back decades in most cases TimS VanStaalSteve and Carol Knowles 2 Show someone how to catch striped bass and they'll be ready to fish anywhere. Show someone where to go striped bass fishing and you'll have a desperate report chaser with loose lips.
FoliFish
Weather Underground dot com has historical data. Top of the page under the "More" tab.

gellfex
What I really want is the overlay of the various weather model forecasts with what actually happened! WindAlert used to keep them for 4 hrs, then it's gone. They seem to have limited it even more, only showing the Quicklook model. But seeing this can really tell you which models to pay attention to and which to ignore. Here's a real failure, hitting 20 when the forecast tops at 8. . bayyaker54
Not sure about looking back, but that wind guru can give you the next 5 days

That would be v valuable info, especially if it went back for one year, and included filters for dimensions including wind velocity, wind direction, surface air temp, and precip. FoliFish
@rst3 might be able to help. He claims to be just a “weather enthusiast” but I think he’s really a celebrity Meteorologist keeping his true identity from us.
Trialesquire
Dark Sky app has a "Time Machine" function that lets you go back for years to see weather including wind. Gooch88
