very nice collection, i like the one pattern/color collection idea, makes it more fun to look for specific items, gibbs has a whole line up chicken scratch, choopy has a nice CS darter, red fin and mambo minnow as well. what would had to the fun is to add teasers in the same color pattern and have it all in a shadow box.  happy hunting

Picked up a Gibbs bottle and a 5" Mambo minnow, 7" Red Fin is in the mail, thanks for the suggestions guys...

I started a Chicken Scratch Collection last year, and it has taken on, a mind of its own...

Its always been one of my favorite color patterns to fish, so I figured what not.

So what am I missing, or what should I be hunting for next?

I do have a few in mind, but theres so many great builders, its easy to forget one or two...

Great thread. My all time favorite, go to color. Night time DEADLY (when there are fish around). Great collection.

Here is a South Bend "Wee-Nippee" from the early 50's, just post war. Its about 5" with props.

Its mostly plain yellow, but note the red gill, likely one of the original paint jobs created for these "chicken scratch" bait designs.
