We kicked it around. Gonna sea bass fish instead.

Fish are there up and down the 100 at temp breaks

Hey good luck with the SB.  A friend at work's son was out a couple days ago and did pretty well on them.

Thanks.

should be stupid fishing where we are going.

We’ll set a spread on the way in looking for bluefin.

May be early for bluefin in close, but worth a try. You can surely go a decent speed because they are fast. You may find big blues too.

We got out. It was a banner day! Although it did take us 2+ hours to get to our 1st drop. Dead head sea for 33mi sucked.

1st drop 81 feet, nice haul to start 20 keepers, 15-18 in

2nd drop  91 feet, mugged them 30 keepers, 15-24 in

3rd drop 128 feet our final 10 keepers, 15-16 in

had a school of bf pushing water 1/4mi from our last spot. Switched over and managed 1 30lber before calling it a day!

we had a lively ocean, saw turtles(humping:th:), sun fish, dolphin, bft, thresher sharks.

Had cloudy green water at 81ft and beautiful blue water at 128. 21FDB583-2FDB-4642-B16D-0DCF94873B4E.jpeg.771864f3d702ac04b30a94d078247b16.jpeg222ECC72-FA48-49AA-A1C8-55B0E92C0F0B.jpeg.e3c30497e7c2f37646db9ad3d922c7c9.jpeg6FC24678-5015-49FF-A801-26F7BF90D3C0.jpeg.314ecb2f5e5b69c08c1b74ae7f691c86.jpegD5A810FF-EC19-41F5-8707-6BF7363B860A.jpeg.1d2f4780e05ccf3fccbfdb8c66631cc3.jpeg60D6C5C3-3C27-4C4E-903D-46D30C7D4927.jpeg.46cc43f7027117146eeee7b47680bf9c.jpeg29759C29-64DE-4C2B-BDAF-AA0E18570324.jpeg.71b5139b8e23d0f22c692a4accf86ca3.jpeg7472E19C-E623-48DB-B4CA-3C24B60CA624.jpeg.78cdac7ea777b667122d86dc8ecc1230.jpeg

Nice going!  It was awesome to see so much life out there, but I didn't realize how widespread it was!  We found similar action.

it was cool to see the birds, dolphin (hundreds) and Right whales (a couple dozen or so), and several sunfish.

The dolphin were everywhere and the whales were spouting plumes of water in every direction.  I'd estimate that the mayhem was in a 3 mile radius at the most.

Oh, and yes, it was rough out there up until maybe mid-afternoon and particularly before first light on the way out there!
