Bolt cutters. Bought a small one from harbor freight for little money. Used it 3x last year to unhook a friend.

Sound like your friend is a slow learner but at least persistent

Balanced out on a rock with big bluefish about this has been gold

The boga tends to jam up if it gets dunked in sandy waves, this never fails

I use one of those 7-day pill boxes: TA clips, split rings, etc. Handy box because I can sort the clips and rings by size.

These have so many uses. Great for organizing for freshwater panfish  tackle in a bag: small hooks, spitshot, orings, trout magnets, carolina rig items...

I can't remember, I bought it a while ago

Got it at the Reel Seat in Brielle NJ, you could give them a call, I'm sure the owner Dave remembers the name, probably still carries them
