Targeting river damn stripers

I have a damn near me that I used to target stripers by livelining herring. But since the herring are no longer legal to use haven’t really fished the area. What are some lures to go after these stripers?  It is maybe 15’ at the deepest and averages less than 10’ with most rocky bottom. Good current flow coming from the damn. Thanks

3/8-1 oz jighead (depending how heavy the current is), with a swimbait (keitech and zman are my favorites) or a mag super fluke is where I would start. From there I would try a bucktail, and then a minnow type plug like an sp minnow, but a jighead/swimbait combo is what I throw in rivers 90% of the time.

bucktail or leadhead and paddle tail are always a good choice. Bullet head jigs seem to hang up less when you bounce bottom. We catch a bunch down here on pencils, spooks, and poppers if they are activity feeding on top. Red fins can also produce if they are in closer. If distance is important, a lead slab spoon will often work well.
