That book sucked balls. It sucked harder than Frank's Macho Man shtick.

But the stuff about how the built the cathedrals was good.

you're an idiot.

Quit trying to overcompensate, you needledick. Someone with no sense of aesthetic beauty is worse than the people from Downingtown.
And by the way: boy, hasn't Frank convinced everyone here how butch he is? :dismay:

I went to the Met a couple weeks ago and wept uncontrollably at the painting of Joan of Arc.

ha,

no I didn't

fag.

That's a trip to remember.

That book is 1,000 + pages long... just in case your running low on ammo here

Atheists make lousy readers. Doubt he read more that what he googled on it a few minutes ago.

Remember the gag about how when it comes to magazines, Vanity Fair is People for those who can read without moving their lips?

Pillars of the Earth is a book for people from Downingtown who lack the intellectual heft to comprehend the intellectual depth of P.D. Eastman's timeless classic:

Damn shame. The WORK done by skilled workers for that time was exquisite, even if it was religious.....the beauty of the work was overpowering. Nothing compares today.

I had the privilege of seeing it in person on a couple of occasions.

NOTHING last forever...

True story: I was a contestant on Win Ben Stein's Money. The episode taped in December 2000. I had just read Pillars of the Earth, and that book got me the answer to a $250 question (the answer was nave).

Otherwise, though, that book was godawful. Just putrid. It made Raider's prose look like Jimmy Joyce. :dismay:

a 6.8 million dollar renovation on the place, which amounts to about a handyman punch list.

I'd say a thorough investigation will reveal that carelessness with a torch or a smoking construction idiot is responsible.

I really HOPE that an act of hate didn't destroy the cathedral,

but how much combustible material is in those places,

I would have assumed that the stone construction would have made a fire like that impossible......

I have been in a lot of cathedrals in my day and didn't think they would burn like that.

Somewhere in France, a construction company is filing for bankruptcy.

No mention yet but anyone wanna venture a guess at the cause of the fire?

Page one was my deduction.

Looks like there is scaffolding around it. Bet a worker set it on fire.

Anyhoo, this was taken today.
