Yes I believe it was called the pocket fisherman. If memory serves me correctly there use to be a infomercial for these in the late 80’s year 90’s. Pretty sure in the commercial they showed someone catching a shark with it lol. And yes of course I had one.

The pocket fisherman was garbage the fishing machine actually worked. The reel was decent if you got a good one. The rod on the other hand was pretty poor. But it was small and compact.

I love that you have to $20.00 in 1970s money (if you worked minimum wage that would be about 8hrs of your life), and you had to pay extra to get the wrist strap.

Ha! I remember grabbing the pocket fisherman up at a garage sale many years ago for $5.  That must be the going rate for collapsible fishing rods!
