17 Cobra .38, 19 King Cobra .357, S&W 66 no dash .357 and Python .357 :)

Also, HKS speed loaders size 10 and DS will work with the 3” King Cobra.( just FYI)

I just saw this thread.

I’ve been a long time fan of revolvers, mostly Smith and Colts.

Anyway, I recently got one at my LGS and the 3” King Cobra was everything I expected it to be.

It’s smaller and less bulky compared to the older Colt 357 magnum revolvers.

It’s frame is almost same size as the 2017 .38 Special Cobra, but beefier and more Robust.

(esp on the Top strap area)

The trigger is surprisingly smooth, shoots like a dream and No issues with fit and finish.

In short, I’ve yet to find any cons or any reason not to like it lol.:)

Hey BlueLine thanks for posting this, much appreciate the info.  Have been unable to find a shop with a 3" KC in stock to check out so far; they're relatively new so I'm guessing there's probably not a lot of them in the pipeline as of yet.  Good to hear you've been pleased with the workmanship and performance of yours; it looks like a real sweet piece.  I’m jealous.

Thank you for the comparison...truly helpful.

Question, for the  "S&W 66 no dash .357"  are those standard, Performance Center or aftermarket grips?  I honestly can't make out the logo.  Regardless, they look sharp...do they cover the backstrap?

Best,

Best,

Thanks.

The Smith is wearing Altamonts. (They offer the combination rubber combat grips with wood inlays) The backstrap is exposed, but they have other grips choices that does cover it.

That Python actually has a cool story...

A couple years ago, I had reluctantly sold my 4 inch blued Python and regretted it since.

Few months passed and I confided with the owner of my LGS,...he said wait here. He came back a few minutes later with a very nicely wrapped 4” Nickel Python in mint condition. Needless to say, I had to take her home that same day. :D

Approx 3 months later, Got the letter from Colt Archives, confirming that it was indeed Factory Nickel and was made in 1969.( So happy )
