To be clear, "I'm asking for a friend" (not Carl) :

Do sheep make suitable "pets"????

(Be careful, whoever responds first is "the authority")

Please refer this question to @MikeMc in the tavern. Lol

Well Giggy, EWE win!

At least 50 people looked at this before anyone else replied so EWE are "the authority"...

I thought the picture sent to me was really cute/funny so I figured we should all share.

It looks like there are plenty of "friends" in the flock for all.

Is that BAAAAD?

And I was sure EWE would be the 1st to respond.

After all, Scottish and Portuguese upbringing and all....

First of all, she (I hope its a "she") was looking for me because my friend told her I'm some sort of party animal. The truth is I'm in bed by 7 and asleep by 8. So it was all a mistake. When she found her soul mate, "John" (the Semi-Scottish guy), she lived a very happy last few months but then he had a hankering for lamb chops and as they say,...that was that!

Any animal can be domesticated to a point . I would expect any one that wants a real pet that they would treat like a cat or dog and keep it in the house . Now that may be a bad idea , unless you have heard of house trained lamb . When on the farm in Vermont I heard of a farmer that kept a cow in the house and another with a chicken .So all to there own , but I can imagine you would be doing a little cleaning an fumigating.:howdy:

I fish with him a few times a year. Good hunter too....

(However his taste in sheep leaves people talking.)

If you see him again tell him I'll give him lessons in turkey calling. :)

He has a super funny story about a guy hunting his land (without permission) who had a very bad turkey call....
