Any one know why it is illegal to keep these?

Just out of curiosity, for those who tried it before it came illegal to possess(whenever that was), how did it taste?

Not that I ever plan to eat one myself.

stocks have been low for a while but one of the tastiest fish!

These things live in singles deep in rock piles, is there really a way to track numbers or is the state just lobbing darts at the conservation dart board? They’ve mismanaged everything to the point of collapse, shut down all dragging and gill nets when breeding season occurs for bottom fish and it will be magic. I really don’t think it is that complicated.
