Looking at installing several fly rod holders on boat this spring. Two option are the DelStang and the Ifly rod holders. Anyone have any experience with either?

I have used both. The delstang which are black and have that velcro. Over time the sun uv will damage the velcro and you’d have to replace it. Also over time the foam insert will get damaged by the uv.

The ifly white with the twist cap. I like these a lot more. The rod stays very secure.

both do a good job reguardless. It’s your personal preference from there out.

I have used both, the iFly on a boat and the Delstang on my beach bike. I don't think you can go wrong with either and it becomes personal preference. There was a recent discussion where this question as discussed thoroughly.

Used both. The Delstang will hold rods with a slightly bigger grip than the iFly. Probably doesn't make a

difference for production rods, but if you build your own it might.

I use four iFly holders mounted to a piece of starboard that is held to the boat with two Seasucker vacuum  cups.

The iFly's have lasted for seven years so far!

Great product!
