Gone2Fish
Does a one or two oz casting egg mean the egg weighs that or the lure/toy weighs that? Is there a scale from which one can tell what size egg to use with what weight lure? I guess that depends on the specific gravity of the type of wood, huh? Anyway, I don't know anything about casting eggs but want to try this season. Appreciate any help.
Wire For Fire
Gonna go out on a limb here and say you over thinking it . It’s just something heavey to help send tiny offerings way out there .. 1-2-4oz whatever you like .. personally I like its as heavey as I can make it and have it still float .. usually around 2-2.5oz Gone2Fish
Rui
Its the weight of the egg. Choice your egg weight based on the rod you plan on using. Slacker and Gone2Fish

ccb
On one of the threads I saw that they just drilled a hole where the nail is and inserted the hook? They just make the hole deep enough so the the point goes in and not the barb?
