4# Trilene XL fluorescent , Sunline flo , Gamma , 4# is all you will ever need for trout in most areas . I use all three always fluorescent so I can monitor my drifts .

Seriously...it is a cosmically bad knot.  

A ugly looking knot doesnt mean its not strong :laugh:

My new personal favorite: 6 lb. Daiwa 8X Grand J-braid with a 4 lb. Tasu fluorocarbon leader secured with an improved Alberto knot. It casts super light lures and jigs extremely well, ties better knots, handles great, and is tougher than the Nano braids.
