floatation strap FTW!  I actually have a mini coil leash for it attached to my kayaking PFD and keep the cam in a PFD pocket.

I will second this post.  I've been using one for over 10 years and the darned little thing is still going.  Mine is the first generation of this design and they have improved it several times over the past decade.  The newer versions have far superior photo quality than my old one.  Here are a couple of my favorite pictures taken with my 10 year old camera.  Also important to note that these cameras have a 5x Optical zoom.  In my humble opinion these cameras blow away the GoPro.
