Which roof carrier do you use for your Kayak?

Always a good idea to use a front tie down rope. You never know when one of your straps will come lose.

Also comes in handy if you have a rack failure.

I purchased  "Malone Auto Racks Malone SaddleUp Pro Set of 4 w/Bow & Stern Lines" and used it only once when I had to bring yak from the store. Then I realized it's too heavy and awkward for roof loading (Predator PDL) and bought a trailer.

Hullavator.  The Pilot is kinda a beast and getting it on top on my SUV is problematic.  So problematic that the first time I was loading it, I ended up ripping my side view mirror off.

Picked up the Hullavator here for $400 brand new..  Mirror coast $500.  Should have bought the Hullavator earlier...

I have the Thule Hullavators rigged up on my jeep wrangler. great investment IMO if you are seriously gonna be using the kayak a lot and moving it on top of your truck

I have a Thule roofrack with a set of Hull-A-Port Pro folding J-cradles with the Outrigger II bar extension to help me get my Hobie Revolution 13 on top of my Honda Accord sedan.

I use the Thule Aero Blades and foam pads.  Suppose to be the quietest in the market but it still whistles unloaded.  Others love it but I don't think its worth the cost when its not that quiet.
