Advice for beginner flyfisher spending the summer in Alaska?

That would be great, but I think the guiding and school are coming dangerously close as is.  Although "school" next fall is an environmental science program in Patagonia! He does live the life.


BTW, when he has done extended solo trips, he has borrowed a PLB. We are going to buy him one soon, it's a little tough choosing between the ones that can text and the ones that can't but have a more powerful signal from their panic button.
