Do you snell your hooks for baiting or chunking or just tie them on for your rigs

suds try a San Diego Jam Knot for anything up to 100 lb.  That knot has held for very big tuna etc. Over that I crimp.

I am different than everyone else so i use a pitzen knot up to 60#.  I imagine 99% are tying an improved clinch or palomar.  I don't see the need to snell unless you're fishing with weed wacker cord...i hear of more snell failures than any other knot (likely because people don't snell correctly).

only snell my hooks when chunking, and retie after every trip. lost a big fish due to a knot failure a few years back and ever since I have been a perfectionist when it comes to knots  knots
