I have been looking for the right shade for some buck tails.  I am at work (I work in a hardware store.  I was walking by the spray paint.  I see some fusion paint (great paint sticks to everything especially plastic, was wondering if any one out there had tried it.  Was thinking of using XIM primer and using the fusion spray paint and then coating the finished buck tail threads and jig head with E tex  any ideas how that would work?  thanks for any insight Charlie

I'm new to making jigs too, but not using paint.

Typically liquid paint is much better than solids. Giving rustoleum a shot for my inlet jigs.  Surf jigs I'll be using the powder paint.

Eurathane based paint would be better than enamel.  Folks have had good luck with plastic dip or called liquid electrical tape too.

Lead is very soft, so the metal will dent chipping the paint.  Even more so pure lead vs tire weights that ussully have some antimony and or tin mixed in.
