For sure.......That's how a comm. shellfish guy drowned in Bourne many years ago.............Up ended in swift water and could not keep his head up due to the bouyancy in his legs........

Yes heart attack I was told.....Commercial shellfishermen tend to fish alone so such is life.......Don't feel bad......The man passed doing what he loved!

good way to look at it

Yup, that's the way I want to go. Upside down in icy water gasping for air. :)

You have a point!   I'm not going out like that.  And none of this hooked up to a hundred machines and IVs in the hospital.

but I have some ideas.

Some of the time when i look at how close the dying mode has become , I wonder If I would like to be out on the surf at High head and have a rouge wave take me out to sea and drown . Then again I have been on deaths door three times in my life and was kicked back for what ever reason and non of them were a pleasant experience as I recall . Life is coming to a close for many of us and as long as it is fast and it is doing what we love to do [like fishing] Go for it, Make the walk out into the water , say a prayer . cremate the body, scatter the ashes in my favorite fishing holes and have a little left to place at the National Cematary in Bourne . Tell a few more stories along the way , among King Neptune's realm and life lives on.

Perhaps hemlock, or the bite from an asp?

However, if applicable, be mindful of certain provisions in a life insurance policy.   ;)
