Alexey
You are a court fisherman. You have been ordered to catch a striper for king’s dinner. Don’t make him wait, or off comes your head! You are given a rod/reel/line of your choosing, a jighead and a choice of either Sluggos or Gulp Eels. Which do you choose? Why? Big Will
If it has to be 28"+ then clams, caught more smaller keepers and even larger fish on clams more consistently than anything else.
flylikabird
A scented (bunker oil) Sluggo unweighted if they're high in the water column or on a jighead if they're on the bottom will get it done. You just have to pray they didn't just finish eating and are digesting to turd. saxon59
Those springs sometimes called 'Hitchikers' are used for rigging your plastic through the nose, usually used attached to the eye of a wide gap or jig hook hook. Photo's below are of a little gadget I made to make these. And yes I would go with the sluggo.
