If it as the one on rt35/Long Branch

Went there w/family several years ago[2-5?].

It was truly god awful.

Dirty, poor svs.

Terrible tasting dogs and everything else.

I told fam that everyone raved about it and went outta their way to go there.

They wanted to disown me, it so bad.

The ice cream shop next store was even worse. Lines out the door for some kinda ice cream substitute.

Had absolutely no taste....heard it closed down and something better is there.

hope everything got better[?]

You got to be kidding me ??

Only a Driscoll Bridge crossing, deep fried hot dog eating Benny would aver utter such heresy :beatin:.

The longest running argument in MoCo is "Windmill or Max's?"

Most of this thread proves its way easier to find good eating spots than good catching spots :p

Finding a good eating spot is the best way to rescue an unsuccessful fishing trip.

Good food, yapping with friends.  Going over how your buddy almost fell off the pier, etc.

Anyone with some recommendations and what to order?

Whenever I go to the shore, I'm nostalgic for a slice of pizza on the boardwalk, or a hotdog at the Windmill.

There used to be a great seafood place in Asbury Park called Net Lanes.  It was like a diner.  But I think it closed down years ago.

The Windmill. There's nothing that says The Jersey Shore like a Windmill hotdog and fries.

But they are pricey!  Two hotdogs (one with Chili and one with Kraut) and a drink set me back about $14.  I think they had a char broiled ribeye for about that much.  (Considering that on my next trip).  Or the Mahi steak.

I was on my back to the parkway last Nov. I stumbled upon pho 99 on the side of a strip mall in eaton town.  Nothing like a big steamy bowl of noodle soup to get your blood flowing after a night of pelting rain. It's not fast food, but man that hits all the right spots. Had to order coffee to go to stop the food coma.
