Why do you want to replace all the guides? Depending on how many guides there are, just a basic replace with same guides is going to be at least $100. If your talking about different guides with a new layout, cost is going to be significantly more. Also my experience with arras is its impossible to get the guide off without taking the paint off. So if you move the guides around, your going to have areas without paint.

the human race has proved darwins theory of evolution wrong. we let the dumb survive.

Have the tip replaced, replace the broken guides and either fish it or sell it and get another rod. to have a rod builder strip and replace all existing guides is expensive and lost wont even do it. the guides need to be removed old epoxy removed and the blanks cleaned up. as mentioned it a painted blank so that presents a problem. if you are talking about putting different guides in the same place as the old guides just to have different guides. that would yield you anything other than a higher bill

@PhilCVG perhaps you can help the OP out with some info.

Phil rebuilt mine and it's a marked improvement over the factory layout.

The others summed it up. Depending on how poor the layout is currently, it would make a big difference. But it is a ton of work and most guys won't even do it.

It is more work to strip and rewrap a rod than it is to build on a blank.
