Got back in early today for a trip, left fri am.

Trip was ok, considing we had a strong tide. 8oz sinker held bottom ok, could have used a 10 or 12 if I had them.

I did get a good pick of yellow tail, some mangrove nothing huge. One large red grouper. Caught so many amaco jacks I could have filled two big coolers, didn’t keep any.

Some highlights.

Guy next to me brought up a Goliath, give or take about 300.

Hammerhead shark around for a bit, 10-12’

one cobia caught,

couple large mutton’s caught

very large red grouper caught

kingfish on flat line

one African pompano

few large AJs

some sharks caught including a large nurse

i have enough fish to keep us happy for a bunch of months.

We’ll be eating the grouper all week. That one I won’t freeze.

Pictures added.

The yellow tail I tried to be very selective with what I kept. They ran 12-19”. It’s very easy to get caught up and keep a lot of just limit fish.

Mangrove, three caught and they were 12-18”

red grouper is 30”
