I am heading to St. John and wondering if anyone has fished there from shore or on the flats in the past year. I understand the last major storm changed everything and I am debating bringing fishing gear. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

I cannot speak to the inshore fishery there. But, if you wanna bend a rod some of the best yellow and black fin tuna fishing in the world is  just off st Thomas. Call Capt Tyler on Double Header sportfishing.

Good luck!

On the south west side of coral bay there are some flats with bone fish. North side has a lot of park so not sure about rules. South side off Ram’s Head or any of the small points that stick out.

Reef bay trail is fun too

I don't have recent experience but several years ago we stayed at the Westin. I caught beautiful snook and a bonefish off the swimming beach and ferry dock.
