almost too crazy to believe except they got surveillance video of the truck...dude just fires into a car full of women and children....effin crazy. hope they get him and hang his ass.

HOUSTON (AP) — Authorities are searching for a driver who fired several shots into a car carrying a family in the Houston area, killing a 7-year-old girl and wounding the child's mother.

Investigators on Monday released a surveillance video image of a red, four-door pickup truck from which the driver fired gunshots Sunday morning.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez has declined to speculate on what prompted the driver to fire into the car carrying 7-year-old Jazmine Barnes, three of her sisters and her mother. Gonzalez says the shooting as "totally unprovoked."

Jazmine's mother suffered a gunshot wound to the arm and her 6-year-old sister was injured by shattered glass.

Jazmine's father appeared with Gonzalez at a Monday news briefing. He pleaded with the public to help find the shooter

It does. I don't believe the kids were targets. Just unintended casualties. Still horrible.

We thought there was no way the uncle could have been the one to murder his brothers whole family but... People are facking sick!

It could also just be some whack job and a random shooting. Chances are slim but..still.

Well, it is Texas.

The girl was such a cutie, she had a thing where she'd hug every person she saw, hello and goodbye.

Wish I hadn't seen that.

The good news is yes Texas, random or part of some scummy drug deal no one gets away with murdering a seven year old girl.

If they catch the **** there will be a needle in his future.

was a "random" shooting in that area previously.

During that shooting, then-21-year-old A'vonta Williams was driving along Garrett Road near East Beltway 8 to go check on his girlfriend in the wake of Hurricane Harvey when he was shot by a white male in a Ford F-150.

Williams was struck in both legs, and his grandmother, who was also in the car with him, was shot in the hip.

Williams' family claimed that detectives failed to investigate the shooting for months but have yet to make an arrest in the case.

"If A'vonta Williams' shooter had been found, would Jazmine Barnes still be alive?" Muhammad said. "... What are the odds that two black families were fired upon by a white male in a pickup truck within a one-year time span on the same block? We've got to call it what it is. Black people are being targeted in this country. Black people are being targeted in this county. Black people are being targeted in this city. We are thoroughly convinced that the killing of Jazmine Barnes was race related."

Williams shooting and Jazmine's shooting happened about six miles apart.

The only connections Muhammad made between the shootings were that both shooters were white males who shot black victims in that area of Harris County, which he claimed has "a very strong white supremacist element" in the area.

He also noted that both shooters were driving pickup trucks, although Jazmine's shooter was behind the wheel of a red four-door pickup while Williams' shooter was driving a gray pickup.

also doesn't make sense that she packed all her kids up at 6 in the morning to go to Walmart for coffee..said her mother was visiting. wouldn't you leave the kids home? maybe bring one or two if they were up, but to pack up all four or five kids seems odd.
