Been off the fresh water for a week.

Not of the fresh water species, but thought I would share.   Five different species, all first time I ever caught em, so they are all Personal Bests!  Technically, the halibut (24.5 inch) is really a flounder, so wouldn't be a first? San Diego for business and I couldn't bring my Yak.

Halibut, Calico Bass, California Scorpion fish, Sand Bass, spotted Bay Bass

Very nice to be back on the fresh waters this evening.   Howlin wind forced a choice of a skinny creek, but that didn't really help as the orientation was "with the wind".   Still managed nine bass.  Three were worth the scale at 1-5, 1-7, and 1-9 while the rest were wee dinks.  Thought I had a shoreline snag;   gave a few tugs and reeled in a twig that turned out to be an old hollow body frog and some line. Pop R catches everything!
