What makes videos like yours, and a few others, cool to watch is that it's fishing that most people can relate to. As a fisherman, I really can't relate to the sponsored guys using top shelf gear on million dollar boats. Not that there's any thing wrong with that. But I know what it's like when a big cat, or striper hits that bait hard, and that success and sometimes failure, makes it entertaining in a relative sort of way.

I watch a lot of YouTube videos and I enjoy the laid back videos of dudes who just go fishing and catch fish! I don't wanna be sold something, I don't wanna be lectured, I don't want someone begging me for this or that, I just wanna tag along and watch you catch some fish. That's what I'm doing, I'm just taking my camera along for the ride and interacting with it as if it were another person on board the boat.

I'd actually like to start streaming some of the catfish trips since I'll have more time to interact with the camera and such. I don't have the time to do so while striper fishing or bass fishing but I can certainly do a laid back stream of some good ol catfishing.

Another great day - fished the plopper for 3.5 hours and lost count! Biggest was 3lbs 5ounces. I'm completely wiped out.

I also found this swimbait on the bank. Does anyone know how you paint red gills on a hardbait?

If it’s a bloody effect you are going for and the gill plate on the bait is raised a bit, I use a dab of red acrylic nail polish. Prop the bait so the acrylic runs the way you want it to, then keep loading the nail polish into one spot and let it run. Once it stops running, dab the excess bead (at the end of the run) off lightly with a paper towel.AF63CF3E-11EC-46CB-BD64-50BB55269055.jpeg.90e7c44fa11688c5c39367aa4271699a.jpeg

I use that trick on my “Bloody Watermelon” spook pattern and it gives a very nice blood effect

Apologies that I don’t have a picture of a freshwater plug I’ve used this on but I’ve done it with crankbaits for years. I’m mostly doing firetiger plugs for my freshwater amigos these days

A quick hitter video of a nice flathead I caught in Tennessee last weekend! I think I'm gonna be fishing more and more in Tennessee this summer and less and less in Georgia. Lake Lanier is just so dang pressured anymore and it takes going outta state to see just how far fishing has slipped the past 6 or so years.

Nice flathead!! Haven't fished for cats in quite a few years. Reminds me of Steve Douglas videos. Will look up Pontoon Jodi too.

I laughed at the self checkout thing. I try to order online and need to hide it from my wife and daughters- angler issues I guess. Never thought I’d be giving advice on nail polish but it’s 2022 right?

If you can find Sally Hanson “Xtreme Wear” in red it’s held up well on many plugs. I use the clear where hook rash would usually show up on a plug and it keeps the plugs looking new for an extra season or two

Smallmouth Bass are starting to get into shallow water patterns. Topwater has been proving key for bigger bites. Also my first time fishing for Lake Trout off a boat with some success. 89C67D71-8141-4A83-B885-DD87DDB15304.jpeg.2eca6d1a1e9ca033708d74a142c45097.jpegB12C3E33-27DE-4DA3-B00C-A48596279263.jpeg.b77411619440ea0544d69b53ffbffe39.jpeg186DCB7C-FE5F-4B29-9740-DF267A4930F9.jpeg.2caf4ba467cea2f8cedeee8bb5597c3b.jpeg

Took advantage of the cloud cover and slight breeze and managed a few wake bait bass today. The rat bite continues to be hot and tried out a nice little waking gill for when I need a more subtle presentation.

Well fished all day put the yak away and the UPS guy delivered a new bait I was dying to test out. The 9 and 1/2” balam 245 weighing in at 3.7 oz.

Ran back to the lake and 5 minutes later this guy smoked it.
