Freshwater Fishing Reports

Had a couple enjoyable days during spring break.

Hit a local Chester County stream, way back in the woods, on Monday & got 11, all rainbows between 11 & 15" & one small brookie.

Hit a larger stream in Berks County yesterday and got 8, All nice browns and bows. All nice, chunky and feisty. Couple nice bows & a beautiful 16" brown really pulled some drag. Love the bow's aerobatics!

May do a quick trip early tomorrow morning for a couple hours at dawn.

Berkely Trout Worm fished on 2lb test rigged wacky on light wire mosquito hook & 1.7 gm Forest Mebius spoon.

Best regards!

JD

I would be afraid of rabies I see that during the daytime

The only time it is normal to see raccoons out in the daytime is when they have young.

Fished a bit this morning - was able to “ draw out “ plenty of decent bass off brush piles and lay downs but couldn’t get them to commit to a swimbait.  Switched up to jig and finally dot a few dinks.

Its probably the best rod I've ever used. Any way I wanna fish with it, it does outstanding. Sometimes I wish the handle wasn't quite so long. It's only a 5' 2" rod and that long handle doesn't leave much rod to fish with. I had the 5' 8" model and sold it......should've kept that one.

Nicely done.

If that is the club on the Jig, they certainly stocked some really nice brood fish this year.

That brook trout is a Mondo.
