I bought 6 new traps 3 years ago and purchased annual rec permits.....I have yet to used them because I don’t want to haul them by hand. Haha.

This is what I use, 10 traps all doubles:)

Electric Pot Puller/Line Hauler on your boat and turn pulling pots and hauling line an easy one person job. This Brutus Max Torque line hauler fits Scotty downrigger mounts, uses the Scotty 12v plug to deliver 110 lbs of pulling force. The Max Torque pulls 1-4 prawn traps or 1 crab trap at up to 140' per minute.

Thanks for sharing.  My son and son-in-law want to get some traps for next year, so the hauler could be my contribution.

Thanks.  Any chance you can take a picture of the hauler mounted on your boat? I guess I’m concerned about it getting in the way when fishing.

Staying in Pochet for the weekend so gave the beach a try last night. The waves were huge with a massive sweep. Wind was still blowing pretty hard. No weeds though so that bodes well for when things calm down. Didn’t get a tap but enjoyed being out there all alone on a long stretch of beach.

That was my thought as well. I stupidly forgot to pack any heavier BT’s or jigs. Heading to the Hummock for those today.

Was out in CC bay today with wife.  Focused on finding bait for a trip later this week or early next week for rec tuna.  Did not find anything except a few mola molas.  Nevertheless an awesome day on the water.  Bay was like a pond.
