Did a float trip on Deerfield River with Harrison Anglers Guide Service for Veterans Day.  Broke double digits on fish landed, but my trout game was rusty so there was plenty of room for personal improvement.  The lightest leader I have used all striper season was 25lb and we had to drop to 6X yesterday.  Broke a few fish off during the fight and lost a brown to a broken hook.  Still a fun day need to regain my finesse for freshwater5CFAAA98-CBBD-477E-96A4-38F78A2187E6.jpeg.9d1492d0352438618ea2a1e636f7a9b8.jpeg25DD863A-16C0-4A68-8E44-42C84F0C5E99.jpeg.e6b7fd1d76c14458828d464965493dff.jpeg180B1A39-FFFA-4E08-88DB-D0DB2CD211D2.jpeg.6e9fb8a098deee5b887f25884d7daa88.jpeg

They are supposed to be great.  Did you nymph the whole trip or was there some streamer action, too?

All nymphs this trip.  Have done streamers with them in past with good success but this trip fish were clearly focused on dead drift presentation

Got out yesterday 11/15 to the NKZ Willowemoc at 11am 37 degrees , at places there was ice so why bother talking a water temp reading . Lower water than Monday produced one small Brown Trout on a streamer . Off by 2pm temps were mid forty’s a beautiful day to get out . I’m ok with that .
