Per NOAA, 12/15/18:
.Very large, long period westerly swell will cause surf to
rapidly increase in height late Sunday morning through Sunday
evening along the Northwest California coast.

* WAVES AND SURF...Breaking waves rapidly building to around 30
feet along the Northwest California coast
during the latter
half of the weekend. The highest surf will be along west and
northwest facing beaches.

 

To all my Northern brethren... Maybe best to do some inland fishing the next few days... Take care...

Just went out to my local beach. It is SW facing so nothing big rolling in. However a lot of moving water and whitewater out a good 150 yards. 

 

Hopefully all this means moving sand and new structure come spring!
