Unfortunately as soon as I saw tog and multiple offenses I could have gotten within a few letters of the last names..I'm probably a bigot and a profiler, but it gets ridiculous after a while...

Its not just tog.  In 3 places by me, small fluke,  small stripes,  small seabass, garbage bags of blues, and every blue claw.   So basically everything in the water.

IME, one is simply not observing if their observations dont align with the above.

Well then, I urge all the keyboard quarterbacks to actually do something and write their politicians.  Get something done.

Good point.  Good advice.  I am going to write something this weekend.

You know why he got elected?  Keyboard quarterbacks.

Well, he got elected because of an over growing population of progressive socialists populating NJ.  That said, a tad more Government here woudn't hurt.   That, or dont be so tough on vigilantism.

Sqeaky wheel gets the grease.

Back in the 70s, during the Arab Oil Embargo, people started switching to cheaper transportation - mopeds.

You used to se them buzzing all over the place.  No license needed.  No age restriction.

Some old lady in Atlantic county complained about the noise... "There oughta be a law!!..."  That didn't do much.   Til her complaint caught the ear of a local lawmaker at the state who said I'll take care of that for you.  So a law was drafted.  Mopeds must be over 16, have a valid driver's license, be registered, ensured, inspected, etc...

The law came to a public vote, but no one was there to oppose it.  So  it passed.

Over night, the moped shops in NJ went belly up and you hardly see them around.

Well the NJ recreational community did vote against a SWL so you can't fault the law makers for only being able to enforce the freshwater thing.

It's the way it works.

If you're a deadbeat dad you can't buy hunting or fishing licenses.  But you can Saltwater fish all you want.

If you get 3 fish and game citations you lose your privilege for 5 years.  This can be any type of violation.  But you can't enforce it on saltwater since there is no license.  you guys can't have it both ways.  Maybe setting the guys up in front of a firing squad can be pushed through.

Do you need a licensed recreation  to have to be punished for poaching a protected species?  If I shoot a bald  eagle I will surely go to jail and be fined to the max yet there is no permit to shoot eagles. I hunt but I dont need a license to go to jail if I kill a deer in my back yard, but they would take it away if I had one and  fine me and take my guns away.  Makes no sense.  Poaching is poaching. No license needed to lose a priviledge your not using anyway.  Lock em up, Fine them and take their poaching materials.

Linceses pay for enforcement of those laws.

When imposed properly, So do hefty fines and asset seizure  for illicitly breaking the laws.

That's not the point John.  There was enough staff to  catch them for the third time and all they did was take their privileges away which they break anyway.  Fine them hefty penalties while you got them red handed and they will eventually stop coming back

I think I lost track here. The point is, there is no right or priviledge that was obtained to fish the salt.  There is no license.  It's the same thing if you wanted to stop someone folrom riding a bicycle.  Since there is no license there is nothing you can revoke to stop someone from riding.  Can a kid get a ticket for not wearing a helmet or can someone get a DUI for riding under the influence? Sure.  But you cant stop them from riding.

It's about theft Jon. They are stealing from every person in the state by taking more than the state allows them to take freely. Theft. Horse thieves were hung in the old days for good reason. Take a mans' horse and you take away more than just his owned animal. You take away his transportation, his ability to work his farm, feed his family, leave him for dead in the wilds. Same should be done nowadays  IMO  for anyone who steals tools, cars, or food resources (that he doesnt actually need) to sell for monetary gain, or to gain food at the expense of the rest who abide by the rules. There's no gray area when it comes to poaching. It's why the State Troopers in New Jersey don't need a warrant to search a home, building, car that they suspect may be involved in poaching. Since they were founded. Same as Conservation Officers (or whatever they're called now) They are taught this in year one at the State Academy. They're supposed to know and enforce those laws, along with all the traffic and other laws. Liberal assed legislators and judges slap the hands of these so called immigrants who flaunt the laws time and again and around and around the wheel goes untiul the resource is gone or so far damaged that us who abide by the rules and work hard to steward each, are left out in the cold by yet more rules keeping us from what we should be allowed. And paid for.

Then take away his saltwater license for 3 years.  Oh, you cant because you dont need one.

Right Jon, it's my/our fault because we didnt vote to give the corrupt government more of our tax dollars to waste on illegal scumbags who dont actually even care about our country.  Yeah, okay.
