Nessmuk
Look, Trump was right. It's too late now though. NOTHING Trump could possibly do would get an acceptable spending bill out of the House now. That ship has sailed. True The only saving grace is that the House will have to compromise to get anything past the Senate. This is something the current/future Democrats do not like the idea of. Nancy Pelosi was fairly calm when they took the House. If she gets the Speaker spot, she may be accommodating to some compromise. But if the Democrats had won the Senate I think we would be seeing a totally different side of old Nancy. Rickman
Nessmuk
Pelosi intends to sit on her backside and do nothing but play politics. There's no compromise that'll decrease spending or it would have been done over the last two years. They'll obstruct, impeach, and play games thinking they're positioning for 2020. All the while provoking Trump into pointlessly opening his cake hole. No immigration bill. No carry bill. No wall. Nothing. And not because these promises didn't help Trump get elected. but because he never made them a priority and didn't know how to lead. Republicans didn't want to actually try and DO any of those things, they just wanted to talk about them. And now that Trump has done his bit to lose the House, they'll all try and escape blame for them not getting done. Oh, but expect them to talk some more. "In 2020 were going to force CHANGE." Want do you want to bet Trump ends up signing a bill that increases spending? Any takers? It's almost a comedy.

Less so now with the house mostly clean of an infestation of RINO #NeverTrumpers, and a Senate majority where all forms of Flakes are history, recent and current. My money is on the Dems to shoot themselves in the foot over the next two years, they can't help themselves, and worse, they have become so factionalized that party unity will be a running joke for all to see, especially a voting public reminded by the King of Carnival Barkers himself. J
Defending our borders and the citizens within is of the utmost importance. Nothing is of a higher importance. How the Left lost track of that is beyond me. Our homeland is under attack. It is time to pull back and protect our shores from the invaders. There is nothing more pressing. Failure will lead to infiltrators ruining us from wwithin. It has already begun. Build the wall, deport them all! I've been singing this tune for many years and the time to act is now.... In truth, we are already a day late and a dollar short. Rickman

Life's been frustrating lately, tomorrow's news may make it more so, and he will feel a need to assert himself. Your $0.02? I hope he does. It'll be hysterical. The Republicans will shut down the government in order to get back at the....wait for it...The Republicans! And then they'll try to blame the Democratic minority for it. The election of Trump proved that there are still a lot of racist a-holes in the county. But one other thing it proved was how completely full-of-sh*t, corrupt and incompetent the Republican party truly is.
