Seigler SM hard to disengage.

It takes quite a bit of force to disengage the Seigler SM. I thought maybe there was some binding issues so I remove the right side plate for inspection. When the 2 clutch springs were remove, it shift every smoothly. A possible solution is a longer eccentric lever to provide more mechanical advantage to overcome the pressure from the clutch springs.

All star drag reels will be hard to flip into freespool if there is weight on the line. Its just they way it is. Roll the spool back with your thumb before switching the lever.
