Here's another ugly knife (you guys have me in the market for prettier stuff... Dicks)

ESEE \ Becker\Ka-Bar collaboration  1095

I wanted to love this knife but I never really warmed up to it.... sheath sucks so bad that the bungee is for retention

Mostly stays in a small tool bag

nice pick...

Copper bolster and pins.

Nice and different look, tarnished or polished.

Man oh man is that sweet....

Gotta love a toothpick. Ya picked a winner!

I also have the case toothpick which is laughably small

The Great Easterns are a nice middle size.

The middle sized is the hardest to find. Plenty of large and tiny from multiple companies.

Here are some old soldiers, including my Pop's middle sized tooth pick.

At the top is a very well worn CAMCO Barlow that I found at dawn on a dock.

Left and right are my FIL's knives. Electricians knife on the right, I think it's a Camillus.

The  knife on the left I don't have a clue about. He liked that one though, scale-less it fit in his pocket better :)

My uncle got a box of something similar when he did some work for someone, when we were kids. My cousin and I would get a new knife every week.

The ones he had were knockoff Victorinox with green, yellow, blue and red plastic scales.

Is retention the biggest issue? Is the sheath Kydex? If som heat the opening end with heat gun and then put it under pressure to push lips together. Once cooled it should retain some of its “new” profile and Should help tighten it up.

I'd like to know myself.  The Ambitious, Persistence, etc...Asian stuff (SOME of it anyway) work well

Hanging in grandaddys meathouse when we cleaned it out.  I've been tempted to try and straighten the handle stems on the draw knife and attach new handles but am afraid they would crack when I tried to bend them.

Any tips on that or refurbishing the broad axe?
