30 lb. blue S8S for the surf

15 and 20 lb green PP for the back bays.

As far as spooling i just leave the line in the box and stick a pen through the middle of it and hold it with my toes.

Depends.  I'll fish Sufix 832 10# on my 7' M and MH rods.  15# Sufix 832 on my 8' MH rod, 20# Sufix 832 on my 9' custom 1081L and 20# suffix 832 on my St Croix Legend 10'6".  I am fishing, when I am fishing these days, on open beach and find the strength of these lines more than adequate.  Lets not forget that the rating in not the actual breaking strength.

BTW, do you notice I am partial to Sufix 832.  Bright yellow is my color.

20lb and 40lb Power Pro SS for me; 20lb is on the 8' rod and 40lb is on the 10'6. My 10'6 gets fished in MTK as well, otherwise I'd probably fish 30lb.

The 20lb is on a 5k size Shimano Ultegra and the 40lb is on a 200 Van Staal VR.

Since completely committing to braid I’ve always liked power pro, recently switched to the slick a few seasons ago 20, 30, 40lb tests for surf setups also been playing with lowering tests on larger reels and trying to develop and maintain confidence throwing heavier plugs on lower tests. One of my 150’s is running 20lb on a 9’ 2-4 and has yet to break off a 4-4.5oz bait I do notice an increase in the casting distance  especially on the lighter plugs. Only notable drawback is Snaggy areas jigging but that’s gonna happen with anything.

I use cheap kastking. Would love to hear from someone who has used old reliable PP and KK. I do hate that the coloring on the cheap stuff wears out fast but I seem to have never have had an issue with strength.

Power Pro moss green 20# & 30# on a pair of baitcasters...i have a spinning set-up with 30# diawa j X8...i use 20# mono leaders around 2ft long

The j braid seemed to lose color quicker than power pro but i have my doubts as to line color effecting the catches
