How to Tell? Gibbs or Not?

4 posts in this topic

So curious if you all can help - how can you tell if a plug is actually a Gibbs or not. Are there markings that one should look for ? My apologies if this is a repeat.

Thanks!

Could be color or construction. It's a lot easier for you to post a picture and we can teel you what makes it a gibbs. Early Gibbs were screw eyes and their paint was very recognizable. The blue over white and white with blue spayed eyes and the Gibbs Mackerel are all very easy to identify. Also Gibbs used glitter pretty often.
