Will the more reasonable members attempt to make this government work

Or are the crazies there now feeling enabled leading to more and more investigations and a complete gridlock shutdown of the government, and very high ratings on CNN ?

I'm leaning towards the latter

Me too ... the crazies will be running the nut house

We will see stupidity worse than the Kavenaugh hearings in the Senate with these left wing wackos  investigating everything under the sun and absolutely nothing else getting done.. we will get a real picture of the dark heart and soul of politicians

Good thing is that this BS will get Trump re-elected in 2020 and the Dems will lose the House again like those Senators who voted against Kavenaugh got payback tonight.

Personally I like a do nothing legislature, they can’t raise taxes or pass new laws & regulations.  My only problem with Obama’s 6 years of a do nothing legislature was 1) They let Obama do anything he wanted especially his willy nilly changes to Obamacare and 2) The entire Legislative Branch began  shirking all of their duties of of which was working on a proper budget.

We've got the Senate, and most of the Rep Senators that were anti-Trump are now gone.

Congress as a whole may become "do nothing," but the Senate is going to be able to confirm all kinds of Federal Judges.

God help us all if Ginsberg or Breyer bow out, because Trump will be able to put in anyone he wants, and the Left is going to go even more psycho than they are now.

Gridlock - which is exactly what we need.

Why you guys think any of these crooks, whether they're wearing blue or red jerseys - have anyone's best interests in mind but their own is beyond me.

Let them sit and squabble over minutia 99% of the time, then on the rare occasion where they need to actually get something useful done, have to do so collaboratively with the thought that a couple of wrong moves and they'll lose their jobs as professional pickpockets come next election.

Really.   Nj elected mendez and a governer who said he wanted to raise taxes.  Ny went completely liberal with not one republican representative.   This was an important election to have control to finally get things done and we gave it to the vandals, rioters, crybabies, socialists, and anti americans.

I would not count on anything in 2020.  I lost all hope.

And she's probably going to get it, too.

1) I am pleasantly surprised.

2) President Trump can fire Mueller tomorrow (and he may well do so) and it will matter less. Democrats in the House will have subpoena authority, now. I'd like to see them subpoena the translator who was present for President Trump's private meeting with Putin, way back when, and see what was said. Disclosure of his tax returns, anyone?

Well one thing that is going to become very obvious in a few days is that we are now in a McConnell Rule Era where every election determines the president's ability to make SCOTUS appointment. McConnell Rule is that president's can only appoint SCOTUS justice if their party controls Senate. Probably played a huge role in some of these Senate races, a decisive role probably.

So that's something that the House Dems are going to have to think about for 2020. Beating Trump is going to be pretty easy, he can't get above 47%. But winning the Senate is going to be another matter and this House will need to think about appealing to the middle rather than the fringes.

Trump will probably try to provoke the House into impeaching him. I bet Trump fires Sessions soon, and then Rosenstein, and then Mueller.

I wouldn't worry about Sudsy. Things are going to be as they will be, no more or no less. And ya know what? The ones with stripes will still be hitting live eels and life will go on!:howdy:

We will see Trump's fake 1040EZ form, like Obama foisted that fake birth certificate on us.

Trump's lawyers will bill him for more hours than are in the next two years...they will be busy as a one legged man in a kicking contest fighting off silly Democrat attacks.

I hope so.  Democrats will begin their extinction today by making fools of themselves with investigative power. There is no line they aren't willing to cross.  Let the carnage begin.
